Our Story 

The first time Shawn and I met was in school in 1996. Shawn came to Byron Bergen his senior year. At that time I was in 8th grade. We were both on the track team. Shawn was late for his race and they sent me to go and get him! He does not remember me but I remember him!  

The second time we met was at a party in 2001. My good friend Sarah invited me to a work party and she happened to work with Shawn. We all went together and had a great time. I remember he touched my hand in the coat room and it gave me butterflies. We started talking on the phone and had our first date, the Byron-Bergen production of the Sound of Music, which Shawn’s cousin, Raelynn, was in. Things just took off from there and here we are now, about to start a whole new chapter of our lives together. I feel very fortunate that fate brought us together. There were a lot of factors that went into us being at that party together. Shawn and I have had so many wonderful times together over the years and I look forward to a lifetime more.
